An Annie Laurie of Palm Beach, original decoupage train case/top handled bag, circa 1970's. The signature ball style closure was broken, so my husband found a very beautiful replacement piece. There is a second locking mechanism, which works, but please note, you must push down on lid to bring the lock forward.
The interior is just as charming. It is lined with a quilted emerald lining. Annie Laurie's signature label can be found in the interior and reads 'Annie Laurie Originals Palm Beach'. The bottom of the bag is protected by a green felt pad. There was a very cool rustic mirror loose in it, which could be re-affixed or left as a separate mirror, did not want to glue it on, in case it was not original. exterior is in good condition with one very small scratch and 2 very small surface indentations. The pattern is a lovely decoupage botanical print. Measures 8 3/4 in x 5 in x 4 3/4 in tall, handle measures additional 3 in and made of metal.
This purse would be lovely used for a makeup case, on display on the vanity or an eye catching bag!
