This is an antique hand carved fabric stamp, they were also used for wallpaper. No two stamps would ever be exactly the same, so each one is unique. In our area, there are alot of textile mills, this was in the attic of one of the homes we bought many years ago to rehab. Measures 6 1/4 x 5 (surface area). With the beauty of the wood and pattern design, this would make a really lovely addition to your home decor, and interesting conversation piece, that is, if you are not wanting to use it for the intended purpose.
