Kemble, illustrators, and Photographs By A. M. Kibble. pp. xviii, 189. Illustrated. This copy is not bound in the so called red bandana cloth with the oval portrait. The binding has the library call number on it. Previous owner was The Concord Public Library. Internally a clean copy with very slight browning on the title and frontispiece. Poems by the Poet Laureate of North Carolina most written in African American Southern dialect. A scarce book to find.
Many of the verses were published by The Charlotte Observer and The Century prior to being published in this collection.
