This bowl is hand carved and came from my friend's parents who were missionaries. Their travels included India, Jerusalem, Africa, Central and South America and Mexico. The bowl measures 12 1/4 in across x 4 1/2 in tall, there are a few stress cracks when the carver was making it, shown (photo 2). It is truly an outstanding piece of art with the varying colors within the wood.
