Bring a beautiful hand woven basket to your home decor/table with this wild grass basket from Central America. Mayan baskets from Guatamala and Belize are created from reeds, rushes, split cane and grasses which is a laborious process from collecting the leaves (for darker baskets green leaves are used), boiling, washing and a drying process (2 days if the weather is sunny and dry),then the weaving process begins using a needle and string made out of Heniken (from Bromelia plant) to the ball process of drying the finished basket.
There is a string attached on this piece for hanging if desired
