Beautiful hand painted porcelain creamer, or syrup holder as was the Victorian tradition and sugar shaker made by Gold Castle, Japan, Chikusa. Sugar shakers are hard to come by, how lovely it is not to have to set a sugar spoon out when entertaining. It is hard to date this set, sugar shakers were popular from the Victorian to Art Nouveau period and the handle on the creamer has the Art Deco style. The sugar shell measures 7 in tall x 2 1/2 wide, the creamer measures 6 in tall x 4 in to handle. These were called Muffineer sets, here is additional information:
