Sasaki Glass Company started in 1878 as an effort to pioneer Japan's domestic glassware industry.he studied under British craftsman learning Old World European techniques. In 1929 he developed a special imprinting ink for coloring glass wares. The company merged in 1967 changing its name to Toyo Glass. I do not know the age of these pieces, however, they were made prior to 1967 due to the sticker which reads Sasaki Glass Handcrafted Japan. This decanter measures 10 in tall X 4 1/4 wide. It appears to have never been used. I also have the sherry/juice glasses pictured for sale as well as 24 coupe glasses.
