San Javier Square, is considered the smallest of Madrid plaza. It is located across the Conde St., which is also very narrow. Both are located in the Madrid de los Austrias or Habsburgs Madrid, near the Plaza Mayor.
It seems that the legendary Luis Candelas (1804-1837), frequented this square for his misdeeds, and they also say that it was because he had a secret love living in this place.
There is a sixteenth century mansion at number 3 of Conde street, where the famous Meson de San Javier used to be. Also say that previously to the Meson, there was a wine warehouse and the Posada San Javier.
